Growing up in Istanbul, our Chef, Umut Ulas Tunc had his first cooking moments at the young age of 13 in his family restaurants, where he would prepare and experiment with dishes based on the local cuisine. These early experiences inspired young Ulas to follow the same life path as his father and grandfather and he set out to become a professional Chef.
After attending a University of West London course in General Cuisine with a specialty in Italian & Turkish Gastronomy, he decided to make meat his focus and worked to develop his expertise and knowledge in this area.
With an inherited family legacy and over 15 years of experience with meat, he then succeeded as a Private Chef in Istanbul and subsequently went on to be Head Chef and Coordinator in Nusr-Et & Salt Bae Mykonos restaurants for 4 years.
Now at the peak of his career and having settled in Greece with his wonderful family, Ulas decided to put his own touch to the local gastronomic industry and has succeeded in designing and creating the ultimate dining experience: DB.one, the place to meat…
